S.O.S. Any help appreciated Reds PSE extraction

So like the title says, my neighbor’s dog tried method #2 on the red 30’s. About 130 of them. Everything was exactly followed. Failed to dissolve them. Neighbor’s dog managed to crush some of them stupidly thinking it would help.

so neighbor’s dog has this gummy kinda of mixture of some crushed mostly not soaked in xylene for hours12 did nothing. Now just sitting on some filter paper sealed in containment.
Can this be salvaged somehow? Most of the stuff is still whole. No water exposure. I can post a pic of what it looks like if needed.

Ingredients: Croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, PEG, Triatin, microcrystalline cellulose, poly dextrose, calcium phosphate dibasic, aluminum lake red, yellow.

any advice would be appreciated, not sure if the dog should just seperate the whole ones out or keep all of it.

Pseudoephedrine will dissolve in the chloroform leaving behind the tableting materia then extract

Hey thanks, right before reading this, the dog figured a chlorinated solvent would be ideal. With only 50 ml of crude chloroform, used dcm instead. Thank you!

In the future you wanna make sure not to forget to get the coating off first. Plenty of choices.. cold acetone or naptha is good.. any hydrocarbon. Otherwise the extraction will take forever to dry and you'll have that pink piece of chewing gum to deal with.

I just use dry alcohol to extract. Usually just the yellow bottle of HEET over baked epsom salts. Do 3x100ml and filter/evaporate. Try to avoid losses to yield by not filtering through several whole coffee filters. Rather, make a cone cylinder funnel and plug it with cotton. It will take a little longer to gravity filter but it will be crystal clear the first pass and you won't be wondering where all the good stuff went.
