@NinjaFlakkaZombie Well because Chinese vendors advertise it at prices so low that it's impossible to look away. They no longer offer it for sale in the open forum but if you pm them, they offered it to me for about $125/kg (2-bromo-4-methyl-1-phenylpentan-1-one) and $115/L for the pyrovelarophenone equivalent. I wouldn't accept anything illegal from China. The risk is astronomical in my opinion. I have bought it off of a major online marketplace, received it, sent from inside the USA, with no fanfare, no questions were asked and it's been 2 months and is long gone from my possession. It was expensive compared to Chinese prices. Basically $4/g.

I purchased most of my glassware off of Amazon, others are concerned aboutit but glassware isn't illegal until you do something illegal with it. I buy some chemicals off of Amazon and some off of ebay and some off of small businesses, so no one person sees all the chems I buy. Things like 2-b-velaraphenone CAN be bought off of ebay ot etsy but You could buy it from the chinese instead, which could hide your identity better and is a lot cheaper. There's a lot to think about surrounding that, I suggest doing some research. The efficiency of chemical reactions varies widely so you could expect to get 0% up to around 90+% efficiency depending on what you are doing

A certain amount of optimisations would improve it I'm sure, but I'd have to be making the same thing 10 times to realise any optimisations. I'm really just over the moon when it works and I don't dump $50-100 down the sink (god don't tell anybody you do that, they might get mad as fuck depending on what you are dumping)I'm here for the chemistry. The drugs are a bonus for sure but they aren't for sale. My experiments max out at 100 grams or something. I don't have anything bigger than a liter as far as glass, but I do have a pretty complete set. It started as a $70 distillation set, and I've added from there. I'd guess I have $600-$700 in it including vacuum sources hot plates beakers flasks sep. funnel. equalising funnels buchner funnel couple sets of stirbars metal kek clips actual vacuum line water pump ph meter retort glass stoppers ect.

A lot longer than it could have, 3-4 days if there isn't any huge reflux or fractional distillation. I make everything I can, or distill it out of hardware store stuff. I think this particular one should be...around 5 hours if you buy everything. It usually doesn't even save me much money, I can often buy the stuff cheaper than make it, but if you seen the shit that went through my amazon cart and ebay It would raise some eyebrows. I'm not a chemist by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just a chemistry enthusiast. I use this stuff to improve drugs I've bought more than I use it for chemistry
