Greetings. I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'm asking for your advice on trying to make Amphetamine from oil A. I mixed 0.5 l of oil A in 1 l of methanol and added 96% H2So4. I added it with a dropper and mixed it, but everything went slowly. When I added a little more, it started faster, but also much slower than my previous experience. At one point, I added more H2So4 and suddenly the decomposition started, and the precipitate that had formed began to disappear. Please, is there a way to turn it back into amphetamine? Thank

Well this probably comes a little too late but ... Yes you can get it to precipitate again, the amphetamine sulphate is not gone although some decomposition might have occurred but that's usually only the case if temperatures get too high will adding H2SO4 and even then no big deal most of the time.

You can either start adding a solvent that is completely miscible with Methanol but is less polar then Methanol to decrease the solubility of the amphetamine or you can neutralize the excess H2SO4 to slightly acidic pH like 6,5 and the white precipitate is back again but now you will have to get rid of the additional salt that has formed during the neutralisation... Which usually means going up all the way toaround ph of 12 and eytract the base and start all over again.

By far the best and easiest method is just adding more amphetamine base, always good to have some on hand ;)
